The Map Is Not the Territory
Don’t confuse the Moon with the finger pointing at it.
A word points to something beyond itself.
It’s not the thing it symbolizes.
Compulsory schooling was created by a few elite men to teach many common men that the map is the territory, that the finger is the Moon itself.
Take the words “HDL” and “LDL.”
HDL is high-density cholesterol, and LDL is low-density cholesterol.
We’re taught that HDL is “good” and LDL is “bad.”
We’re taught to raise our HDL since it’s “good” for us.
But what IS HDL?
Have you smelled it? Tasted it? Seen it? Heard it? Touched it? Weighed it?
Are large HDL particles better than small HDL particles?
Large HDL particles are called HDL2, and small HDL particles are called HDL3.
HDL2 removes more arterial plaque than its smaller counterpart.
We’re taught to raise HDL “levels,” but what about raising its “function”?
Its function is called “HDL efflux capacity.”
“HDL cholesterol efflux capacity is associated with lower incident cardiovascular events,” according to mainstream medicine’s mouthful-of-marbles jargon.
Incidentally, “raising plasma HDL levels will reduce cardiovascular events” was never more than a hypothesis.
The theory was designed to make billions of dollars for the pharmaceutical elite and further their cause of eugenics by killing millions of common people.
Making billions of dollars while killing millions of people — not a bad deal if you’re an unprincipled businessman.
Maybe it’s time to step back inside your body, and escape from the maelstrom of words.
Maybe it’s time to avoid medical gangsters who are so eager to “manage” your cholesterol.
Maybe it’s time to reevaluate the compulsory schooling — at least for your childrens’ sake — that taught you to think in “black” and “white” terms in the first place.
Adano Ley (Swami Nitty-Gritty) held up a pencil and asked, “How many ends does this pencil have?”
Most people reply, “Two.”
A pencil has either infinite ends or no end at all.

“Nearly all work in our society has been centralized. To pull this transformation off, children in bulk had to be taught to think of their futures in terms of jobs, instead of independent livelihoods. Parents had to be taught to accept lifelong subordination as a freedom from burdensome responsibility, and to turn their children over to anonymous agents of the political state as a further freedom from responsibility. No wonder our nation is so profoundly childish.” — John Taylor Gatto

“I believe that infantile amnesia which causes the individual to look upon his childhood as if it were a prehistoric time and conceals from him the beginning of his own sexual life — that this amnesia is responsible for the fact that one does not usually attribute any value to the infantile period in the development of the sexual life.” — Sigmund Freud

“Limits to medicine must be something other than professional self-limitation. I will demonstrate that the insistence of the medical guild on its unique qualifications to cure medicine itself is based on an illusion. Professional power is the result of a political delegation of autonomous authority to the health occupations which was enacted during our century by other sectors of the university-trained bourgeoisie: it cannot now be revoked by those who conceded it; it can only be delegitimized by popular agreement about the malignancy of this power. The self-medication of the medical system cannot but fail. If a public, panicked by gory revelations, were browbeaten into further support for more expert control over experts in health-care production, this would only intensify sickening care. It must now be understood that what has turned health care into a sick-making enterprise is the very intensity of an engineering endeavor that has translated human survival from the performance of organisms into the result of technical manipulation.”— Ivan Illich (Medical Nemesis, 1975)

According to “Living Trees for Wireless Telegraph Stations,” Popular Mechanics, Feb. 1905 …
“Major George O. Squier of the Signal Corps, United States Army, has succeeded in sending and receiving wireless telegraph messages, using living eucalyptus trees in place of masts and towers. The branches and leaves served in place of the usual network of wires as antennae.”
