Adano Ley (Swami Nitty-Gritty) said …
“Bars are usually closed at Liver Time because people drinking alcohol are more likely to experience anger and get in fights at that time.”
Well-documented studies (starting with Forsgren, 1928) showed that anyone sleeping from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. has their liver’s maximum anabolic phase at 2:00 a.m. and maximum catabolic phase at 2:00 p.m.
Their liver’s glycogen level reaches its zenith at 2:00 a.m. and drops to its nadir at 2:00 p.m.
Bile production is exactly inverse to glycogen levels, dropping to its nadir at 2:00 a.m. and reaching its zenith at 2:00 p.m.
The liver has the potential to be replenished or even rebuilt by bone marrow cells at or around Liver Time (1:00-3:00 a.m.).
Nathan Seppa (“Do liver cells come from bone marrow?,” Science News, Jul. 1, 2000) wrote …
“Human stem cells lurking in adult bone marrow can become liver cells during a crisis.”
The daily alkaline-acid (catabolic-anabolic) biorhythm of the liver is symbolized in the Greek myth of Prometheus.
An eagle devoured his liver every day while he was chained to a rock, and it was regenerated overnight in perpetual periodicity.
The Greek word for liver is hepar, derived from the word hepomai, meaning “mend” or “repair.”
The liver is the only organ that removes cholesterol from the body, converting it into bile acids, bile salts, and phospholipids.
Chol-ester-ol means “liver-salty-oil.”
The liver’s Kupffer cells remove contaminating bacteria from the blood.
Glucose is attracted to muscle tissue, while fructose heads for the liver.
The liver stores fructose for itself and the seminal vesicles, which contain plenty of fructose for fueling millions of ejaculated sperm.
According to The Associated Press, Jan. 19, 2001 …
,
“Doctors know that some diseases are worse at certain times of day and thus try timing some medications, a field called chronotherapy. Some cholesterol drugs, for instance, work best when taken before bed so they target a cholesterol-affecting liver enzyme most active at night. Radiation for liver cancer has a similar pattern, [Michael] Menaker said – it may work best with fewest side effects in the middle of the night, when patients can’t get it. Yet if patients could reset their liver clock by altering meal times, ‘you might get quite an advantage,’ he said. Menaker cautions that’s just a theory, but that ‘it’s likely all the peripheral organs have their own oscillators,’ or circadian clocks, something he is beginning experiments to test.”
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) associates the fingernails, toenails, eyes, and muscles with the Liver Meridian.
Adano said liver disorders can manifest from repressed anger, and he defined courage as “controlled rage.”
The “rage to live” is a function of the liver, but a “big liver” often abuses his/her liver with alcohol or drugs.

As I have been purifying my body and mind, things have been “coming up”. At first it was an old wound in my left hip socket that, through listening to my body and intuition I stretched and walked the injury out of myself to where I now enjoy greater flexibility than I have ever enjoyed. I feel like I am burning karma in both my mind and body at once. I have shed excess and fat and am quite lean, however I am now feeling what seems like my liver. It feels like something wants to break free. I have experienced a fluttering in this area, like something moving through it, but it still feels gooped up. I have been meditating on it and instead of twisting with uneasiness I have been feeling it’s vibration and embracing it with love and I also am thinking about doing something like a gall bladder flush but I am unsure if this is necessary. It feels like what many would label a “fatty liver”. It is under my lower right rib. When stressed I feel it more at night. When it causes me discomfort at night I sometimes wake up around liver time and am drenched in sweat. The last time I felt this was when I used to smoke cigarettes – sometimes after or during having a cigarette I would feel what I -think- is my liver growing larger and pressing on other things and making myself uncomfortable. Have you experience in this? I eat on time and enjoy it very much.
Thank you,
Brendan

Liver connects with Stomach, Small Intestine, and Circulation-Sex meridians.

I think you are right – I have been in the process of letting go of some things and some ones. I have recently put certain people who treated me as they themselves expected to be treated (wrongfully) out of my life and even though I understand why they did what they did, I am still in the process of letting go.

Let them go without rejecting them. People’s behavior is what’s traumatic.

Letting them go without rejecting them is definitely something worth learning. *Thumbs Up*

What could it mean with the zenith of bile production… i had a sharp, clenching (using this to refer to the lingering timing of the pain, prob about 15 seconds) right at about 2:05 (solar) today. Right at the mid-lower point of the right side… so figured liver.

Usually the liver is talking. As long as it only happens once in a while, there’s no problem.
