“ATG [attention-getting syndrome] is the worst disease in the world, even worse than AIDS. Even God suffers from it.”
In the words of …
Felix Deutsch, On the Mysterious Leap from the Mind to the Body: A Workshop Study on the Theory of Conversion, 1959, “‘There does not exist,’ I wrote, ‘the alternative of psychogenic, or not psychogenic.’ The fundamental question is: what is the interrelationship of certain psychological factors with certain biological ones? To make it clear: not coexisting, not corollary, not parallelism or psychological factors, but interrelationship of these factors is what we will find. More specifically, we have to search for the roots of the interaction of the emotional life and the related bodily functions, what led to the choice of the organic system for the expression of the conflict, and furthermore, what factors of the environment, past and present, contributed to the establishment of the psychosomatic symptom complex.”
Augustin M. de la Pena, The Psychobiology of Cancer: Automatization and Boredom in Health and Disease, 1983, “Progress toward a comprehensive, valid viewpoint of health and disease can no longer ignore psycho-social factors and consciousness in the etiology of health and disease. In fact, more knowledge about the nature of consciousness, and the role of the unconscious (Shevrin and Dickman, 1980), seems critical for the future development of a true science of health and disease. In my opinion, man is at a curious point in his evolution. On the one hand, the majority of men are still not quite human, the triviality of everydayness eats away at their psyches and produces a host of behavioral, cognitive and physical disorders, sometimes culminating in death. On the other hand, a handful of thinkers around the world seem to be on the verge of achieving a unified field theory of nature which greatly surpasses in scope and implications the unified field theory that eluded Einstein and continues to baffle his successors. For the first time in the history of nature, nature is close to the point where it is now possible to outline hypotheses about itself wherein the student of life science may perceive the unity and underlying threads connecting all of its parts.”

“MY childhood trauma is boring. Why should I be interested in YOUR childhood trauma? Get on down the road. Get in the Now. If your feet hit the floor this morning, you’re having a good day.” – Greg Whiteley of Aquarian Lifestyle Research and Divine Spark Productions

A man diagnosed with Alzheimer’s was brought by his family to Adano’s Karma Klinic in Houston, Texas.
When Adano was alone with him, he said, “You don’t have Alzheimer’s. There’s nothing wrong with you.”
“I know, but I love all the attention,” the man replied.
