Rice Stockpiles Arsenic
Arsenic is tricky. It’s two syllables as a noun and three syllables as an adjective.
Rice hoards arsenic. Arsenic is a patented plant growth activator.
So a dozen or so of my Facebook Friends jumped on that, wondering “What does that mean?”
This doesn’t take a rocket scientist to understand!
Most rice (except white rice) is high in arsenic.
Arsenic is a growth factor for rice and humans! Enjoy your rice! I do!
Everyone has been eating arsenic for a very long time, and nobody seems to be dying from it.
According to Wikipedia (last edited Mar. 23, 2020) …
“Arsenic is used as a feed additive in poultry and swine production, in particular in the U.S. to increase weight gain, improve feed efficiency, and to prevent disease. An example is roxarsone, which had been used as a broiler starter by about 70% of U.S. broiler growers.”
Obviously, there are no farmers on Facebook!
The farmers are busy farming. They don’t have time for social media! LOLOLOL

“Arsenic is absorbed by all plants, but is more concentrated in leafy vegetables, rice, apple and grape juice, and seafood.”
Why pick on rice? Anti-Chinese propaganda?
China grows 35% of the world’s rice.”

Yep. Some soils more than others. Volcanic soil has a lot.
In some cases, arsenic is a safer blood-builder than iron.

Arsenic was commonly given to racehorses to jet-propel their get-a-long down the track.
Some of those racehorses died because they were given MUCH MORE than the amounts found in rice and other arsenic-hoarders.
Too much of anything is toxic, including oxygen and water.

I don’t get my nutritional arsenic by drinking contaminated water or licking arsenic-treated wood products.
I get my arsenic from FOOD (you know, that strange stuff that people used to eat before they started taking herbs and supplements), and I bring my rice to a boil three times, pouring off the water each time, if there’s the slightest doubt that “too much of a good thing” is in my rice.
Of course, white rice contains much less arsenic.
It’s common sense, not science.

Seminal retention wasn’t invented for “spiritual” reasons.
It was used so Taoist men could have sexual intercourse with ten or twelve teenage girls in an afternoon to achieve (ha ha) physical immortality.
Confucian men preferred mature women, but ejaculated every single time they had sex with their wives and concubines.
Confucian men needed more rest and recuperation than Taoist men — but had many more descendants.

It’s a four-step process …
1) Eat a fruit rich in glucose (grape sugar).
2) Drink a cup of coffee or a glass of any liquid (or two if it won’t interfere with your workout).
3) Work out. Do your thing.
4) Drink less liquids than usual for the next day or two (or three if you’re working out every fourth day and choose to bulk up).

The fruit supplies the glucose, and the water in the coffee or other beverage converts uric acid into alkaline ammonia.
