Fat-Holding Pigment #3
According to Paul Bragg (1895-1976) …
“Nerve Depression means the shutting off of the nerve flow from the reservoirs, just as you would stop the water flow in a garden hose by stepping on it.”
<>
David H. Dolley & Frances V. Guthrie (“The Pigmentation of Nerve Cells,” The Journal of Medical Research, Sept. 1918) wrote …
“Pigment is not a natural constituent of the cells of any region of the central nervous system or of the Gasserian [trigeminal], spinal, vagus and superior cervical ganglia of the rabbit and dog.
“Pigment is not a product of normal or hypernormal functional [nerve] activity.
“A melanotic pigment is produced by functional [nerve] depression or some duration in any or all cells of the rabbit and dog.
“The genesis of pigment in these animals under all conditions, physiological, morbid and senile, is referable solely to [nerve] depression. While pigment is characteristic of senility, it is because, in the duality of senility, senility of [nerve] function and senility of [nerve] depression, the factor of [nerve] depression is almost inevitable in an organism. Pigment is absent in pure experimental senility of [nerve] function.”
According to the same source …
“The deposition of fat, in addition to the glycogen and albuminous material previously determined, is a phenomenon of depression of the nerve cell. In common with the glycogen, the fat is probably the result of infiltration.”
<>
When it comes to the firing or non-firing of nerves, according to Merry Prankster Ken Kesey (1935-2001) …
“I’d rather be a lightning rod than a seismograph.”

So I know you’re going to eat them in time. But what is your take on almonds now that you know about the yellow fat disease. Did your newfound research of poly fat ever conflict with eating an almond. Also, what is your take on almond butter?

Almonds are one of Nature’s perfect foods.
After writing ten books about Yellow Fat Disease, I’ve never been able to find a single case of linoleic acid causing it, only linolenic acid.
However, eating linoleic acid as a “health food” is not one’s highest choice.
According to Wikipedia (last updated Mar. 19, 2020) …
“Almonds are a rich source of oil, with 50% of kernel dry mass as fat (whole almond nutrition table). In relation to total dry mass of the kernel, almond oil contains 32% monounsaturated oleic acid (an omega-9 fatty acid), 13% linoleic acid (a polyunsaturated omega-6 essential fatty acid), and 10% saturated fatty acid (mainly as palmitic acid, USDA link in table). Linolenic acid, a polyunsaturated omega-3 fat, is not present (table). Almond oil is a rich source of vitamin E, providing 261% of the Daily Value per 100 ml.”
There’s probably a little linolenic acid in the dry mass, but compared to other foods, including olives, not enough to worry about.
Almond butter is probably OK as long as there are no additives or added oil.

Hello Atom! So does this mean that using Almond oil could be a good way to supplement higher amounts of vitamin E to remove PUFAs? If so, is using it topically a more efficient way to get the vitamin E, or is adding the Almond oil to a meal the better option?

Vitamin E won’t remove PUFAs. That’s why Monsanto and fracking companies have made such a huge investment in the fish farming industry.
Unrefined almond oil IS high in vitamin E. I never was able to find unrefined almond oil back when I was managing health food stores, but things may have changed by now.
Let me know.
I’m not saying vitamin E isn’t an important vitamin. It definitely IS.

Thank you Atom! If I find some candidates for the unrefined Almond oil I will let you know!

Pasteur or Béchamp? Where do my allegiances lie?
I’m backing Pasteur — the guy who DIDN’T give us chemo and the synthetic dye industry.
Joseph Meister (1876-1940) was bitten by a rabid dog when he was nine, so he would undoubtedly back Pasteur too.
However, most neo-Pasteurians threw the baby out with the bathwater.
The terrain IS crucial.
Viruses, bacteria, fungi, parasites, prions, predators, and poisons ARE attracted to weakened or poorly defended tissue.
(Béchamp was wrong about acidic tissue attracting germs and alkaline tissue repelling them.)
Flu vaccinations might “work,” but flu viruses multiply often, and the side effects are risky.
Cold vaccinations don’t “work” because (1) cold viruses MUTATE EVERY SEVEN TO TEN DAYS, and (2) an individual cold is a product of multiple cold viruses.
The same goes for COVID-19.
Colds commonly go unnoticed — adults average two to three colds a year, and children, six to ten.
Symptom-free COVID-19 carriers are super-spreaders, easily infecting eight contacts or more.

Tin and zinc are alive, and get sick (fatigued) and even die.

Hi Atom, would you do a blog on Covid-19?
April 6, 2020 @ 2:23 pm Atom
I already wrote one (March 17, 2020), but, since folks are interested, I’ll do a series.
