Forget what you were taught about The Civil War and what it was about. American Economics Professor Thomas Di Lorenzo argues in his book, “The Real Lincoln – a new look at Abraham Lincoln, his agenda and unnecessary war” that Mr. Lincoln ignored The U.S. Constitution over and over.
You’ll find this fascinating. According to Mr. Di Lorenzo, Lincoln followed the philosophy of Hamilton, who did in fact create the first central bank which Thomas Jefferson fought against. Lincoln, as Hamilton, did not believe in States Rights and State Sovereignty. Of course students of the U.S. Constitution know that States Rights with no Federal Government intervention is THE basis of The United States Constitution.
This is highly recommended listening for your children who are being taught the U.S. Governments version of what Lincoln and The Civil war was all about.
